PROline - applications in production

PROline is a PC-aided ultrasonic inspection system, particulary aligned for the automotive industry especially for the automated ultrasonic inspection of  laser- or electron beam welds.

The system is used for the inspection of transmission control gears, drive wheels and differential gear wheels.

In connection with an application-related test mechanic the component is tested with either contact-, water beam or immersion technique. Various expansion stages of the system integration can be used i.e. in- or offline inspections, automated or manual component charge and discharge.

The task for the ultrasonic inspection of electron or laser beam welded control gears is to monitor the weld depth as well as to detect binding and volumetric defects in the weld, in accordance with the specified error sizes and quantities.

Area scanner are used for the inspection of plane components. Those scanners are for scanning the components with a freely selectable scan-/index resolution. This is how for example switch contacts, metal sheets and similar are tested.

VOGT offers for all PROline-systems a multifunctional screen display of the PROlinePLUS software which shows besides the A-scan, the combinable test sequences and result information such as start, stop, good & bad sorting signals, statistics, graphic result representation of the ultrasonic amplitudes and time-of-flights or their signal combinations as well as conventional C and TD-images, location accurate  and in colour grading.

The PROline ultrasonic test system communicates via the programmable interface with the respective production plant control.

Inspection systems of series AS 200

This type of ultrasonic inspection system is intended for the fast and, on request, multi-channel quality assurance in production. These ultrasonic inspection systems are used for complex inspections of tubes, bars, sheets, welds, forgings, rail wheels, railway rails and many more.

The inspection systems use the conventional ultrasound technique with pulse-echo mode, transmitter/receiver mode and/or thru-transmission as well as phased-array technology.

Especially noteworthy are the preferences of the AS 200 ultrasonic inspection system such as the highest possible number of transducers (up to 256 transducers), the high test speed (2m/s are easily possible), the various combinations with the production surroundings (test start signal, error classification exits, communication via network or with a PLC, etc.

Forging inspection systems LFS-300

These precision inspection machines are made for imaging ultrasonic inspection of large rotary-symmetrical forgings and castings such as turbine discs and generator components.

LFS-300 series ultrasonic inspection machines are developed for the efficient and reliable ultrasonic inspection. Using an unique servo-driven part rotating platform (W-axis), forgings are vertically chucked in the machine which enables full inspection accessibility to all surfaces in one part test cycle.

For testing forged shafts, we offer a special horizontal ultrasonic inspection machine which is equipped with a part rotation that is based on rollers and mandrels.
